What’s the difference between a shame and a pity?
If a busload of lawyers goes over a cliff, and there are no survivors, that’s known as a pity. If there were any empty seats, that’s a shame.
A drunk was sitting at the bar when he suddenly jumped up and yelled, "All lawyers are assholes!"
Hearing this, the guy sitting across from him quickly stood up and said, "Hey buddy, I resent that!"
"Why, you a lawyer?" the drunk asked.
"No," replied the guy, "I'm an asshole!"
A pickpocket was up in court for a series of petty crimes. The judge said, "Mr. Banks you are hereby fined $100."The lawyer stood up and said, "Thank you, your honor. My client only has $75 on him at
this time, but if you'd allow him a few minutes in the crowd.. . "
A lorry driver was driving down the highway when he saw a priest at the side of the Road. He stopped to pick up the priest and give him a ride. A ways down the road the lorry driver saw a lawyer on the side of the road. He turned the truck on a direct course with the lawyer. Then he thought' Oh no, I have a priest in the truck I can't run down this lawyer' and at the last second the lorry driver swerved to miss the lawyer.
But, the lorry driver heard a thump outside of the lorry, he looked in his rear-view mirror but didn't see anything.
He turned to the priest and said' Sorry Father, I just missed that Lawyer at the side of the road' And the priest said' Don't worry son, I got him with my door'
A physician, an engineer, and an attorney were discussing who among them belonged to the oldest of the three professions represented. The physician said, "Remember, on the sixth day God took a rib from Adam and fashioned Eve, making him the first surgeon. Therefore, medicine is the oldest profession."The engineer replied, "But, before that, God created the heavens and earth from chaos and confusion, and thus he was the first engineer. Therefore, engineering is an older profession than medicine."Then, the lawyer spoke up. "Yes," he said, "But who do you think created all of the chaos and confusion?"

A company president was trying to buy some land in Louisiana for a plant expansion, and he wanted to finance this new facility with a government loan. His lawyer filled out all the necessary forms and applications and sent them appropriately. The government reviewed his application and abstract and sent the following reply: “We received today your letter enclosing application for your client supported by abstract of title. We have observed, however, that you have not traced the title previous to 1803, and before final approval, it will be necessary that the title be traced previous to that year. Yours truly, etc. ”
As a result, the lawyer sent the following letter to the government:
“Gentlemen, your letter regarding title received. I note you more...
