"More Polite" joke

Carole and Sue, two friends who always argued about which one was more polite, were dining together. Both had ordered a steak dinner. As soon as the waiter brought the dinners to their table, Carole grabbed the plate that had the larger steak on it.
"Why did you take that one?" Sue asked. "That certainly wasn't very polite."
"Well, which one would you have taken?" asked Carole.
"I would have done the polite thing and taken the smaller one, of course," snapped Sue.
"Then what's the problem? That's the one you got!" Carole replied.
