"On a Diet" joke

Being very overweight, the blonde's doctor put her on a diet. "I would like you to eat regularly for two days, then skip a day. Repeat this process for two weeks. I'm sure you'll have lost at least five pounds when I see you next time," the doctor told her.
Two weeks later the blonde returned to her doctor and she had lost almost 15 pounds. "That's wonderful," the doctor said. "Did you follow my instructions?"
The blonde, nodding yes, replied, "I really thought I was going to drop dead that third day."
"Why, from hunger?" asked the doctor.
"No! From skipping."
