"Safaee ya safaaya" joke

The recent by-election evoked the following one-line comments in the event of the Congress-I with its open-palm symbol winning: "haath kee safaee" - sleight of hand.
And an apter comment on the outcome - "haath ka safaaya" - the hand wiped out.
