A Japanese lunar orbiter will slam into moon this week. The Japanese had actually lost contact with the orbiter and it didn't know the mission was over.

Q: In a democratic society, how important are elections? A: Very important. Sex can only happen when a male gets a election.

Europe's first spacecraft to the moon ended its three-year mission by crashing into the moon, the goal being that the cloud of dust and debris created would provide clues to the geological composition of the site. The crowd in the German mission control room applauded.
